The "Wireless Distribution System" (WDS), supported by all manufacturers, allows up to 4 additional WDS repeaters to be connected to the FRITZ!Box for the purpose of extending the WLAN range.
WDS is not required if an AVM FRITZ!WLAN Repeater is used.
The setting "Autochannel" is currently enabled for the wireless channel.
If you would like to use the repeater function, you must set a wireless channel manually on the ' WLAN Radio Settings ' page. The channel 6 is recommended.
For an overview of the WLAN channels used, see the 'WLAN Monitor ' page.
If you would like to use the WLAN repeater function (WDS) in the radio network mode 802.11n+a (5-GHz band), you must set a wireless channel in the range between 36 and 48 manually on the "WLAN / Radio Settings", or set a different radio network mode.
All repeaters must work on the same radio channel. The radio channel currently used is "Channel 6". Make any necessary changes to the radio channel on the "WLAN / Radio Settings " page.

Specify how the repeater connection is encrypted:
You have enabled non-encrypted transmission. This setting leaves radio connections unprotected.
Even unauthorized persons can share your Internet access, monitor data and files you transmit and use shared printers. We strongly recommend enabling encryption. Remember that all members of the wireless network must support the kind of encryption selected.
The key used is the value configured by clicking the menu commandsWLAN / SecurityWEP key 1.
WEP key 1 (hexadecimal):
Enter the WEP key in hexadecimal format (26 characters).
Warning
You enabled insecure encryption according to the old WEP standard. This setting provides only insufficient protection for your wireless connections. Even unauthorized persons can share your Internet access, monitor data and files you transmit and use shared printers in your network. We strongly recommend enabling a secure encryption method.
Note: A WPA2 connection can only be established to another FRITZ!Box.Devices from other manufacturers are not supported in this mode.
